Image Manager not creating thumbnails

I am using cmsms 0.12.1.

All of a sudden I have problems with Image Manager. Until yesterday everything worked fine. But now Image Manager does not create thumbnails any more. I only see the file names in Image Manager instead of thumbs.

I hope somebody can help, thanks.

have you ever been able to 'see' the thumbs? i've never 'seen' them when looking in 'Content » Image Manager' unless i've 'uploaded' them myself, the thumb folder is hidden, if you look with an FTP client you can see them, but only if you have looked at your images in 'Content » Image Manager' or uploaded them with 'Content » Image Manager'.

I have uploaded the pics under Content>ImageManager. So far I have always seen the thumbnails in ImageManager after upload. But now I only see a "thumb" containing the file name, e.g. picture.jpg but not the picture itself.

If I look at the image folder with an ftp client I see files named thumb_pic.jpg of all pics I uploaded until yesterday. But no files named thumb_pic.jpg of pics I have uploaded today. I only see the original files named  pic.jpg.

Any solution?

You could try checking permissions on your folders? You may have changed them?

Also file names on some servers are case sensitive? Even for the extensions e.g. jpg / .JPG

Also, if you are on a hosted server, it maybe worth checking to see if your ISP has been upgrading things. This can sometimes casue problems, (and cause yor to tear your hair out!) as things often move around and would maybe require a few changes to your config.php file?

Try manually creating a thumb (with the same file name format as thumb manager) and uploading it via ftp - can you see it?

I'll say it again,,
when you goto place image on the page are you using,, 'Content » Pages » Edit Page: **** '
insert image » browse server then your in 'FCKeditor - Resources Browser', on the left hand side there is a drop down with 'Resource Type' above it, should say 'images' on the right in the big window are the images, if you FTP img's to the '/uploads/images' folder, if you put them in any other than '/uploads/images' you shold be able to see a folder called 'whatever/', inside either one is this,, image001.jpg some where in the " t's " you should start seeing 'thumbs_ ' with the name of your images like  thumb_image001.jpg,, but, only if you have gone to,, 'Content » Image Manager' and opened the  whatever/ folder to view the images. The manager has always made thumbnails for me, the only reason i knew about it was that i FTP some images then go back to FTP some more and i see more img.s than i put in before and they all start w/ thumb_ so ,,,
that's my story
try adding picture to page in 'Content » Pages » Edit Page: ' see if they are there.

Problem solved. I have just transferred the original directory "Image Manager" from my original download of CMSMS via FTP to my existing installation and it works again. Thanks for your help.

I have same problem! I install CMSMS 12.2 multilang version and Image Manager not creating thumbnails? Only red cross and picturename.jpg shown in Image Manager. Upload folder premission set 777.
Same problem with Gallery tag
Can somebody help?

Just update adodb_lite or all lib directory staff

I have just upgraded to 0.13 & now my thumbnails are not auto generating for my albums. When you say:

Still waiting on how you fixed this mate!

When I upload images, despite wether i'm using GD or ImageMagick no thumbnails appear. However on an older version of the software thumbnails are generated fine with the same settings.

Copy over your
CMSMS\lib\filemanager\ImageManager\Classes\ directory with new 0.13 one.
