Applying internal link to image make the image disappear

Post by Festarossa »

Hi all,

I ran to this problem with internal links: when I add an image to editing field and use the "insert link to cmcms-page" on image, the image will disappear. I also tried to apply the internal link to text + image at the same time, which will result in loss of both. If I apply the internal link to text alone, it works. External links work just fine both in images and texts. If I use html-edit mode, internal links in images will work. But since I'm doing this to people who know nothing about coding, I'd like to get this work in wysiwyg.

I'm using TinyMCE 2.6.5. I would have tried other WYSIWYG-editor, but system didn't switch the editor (tried Xinha and DojoEditor) and it stayed as TinyMCE. When I removed TinyMCE installation altogether and tried to use other editor, there was no editor at all. I tried to change the editor in Site Admin/Global Settings AND in My Preferences/User preferences.

I hope you can help me with this little, but very annoying problem.

Some details of the system:
CMS Version 1.7 • FileManager 1.0.2 • ModuleManager 1.3.3 • ThemeManager 1.1.1 • use_smarty_php_tags: false

Current PHP Version (phpversion): 5.2.6-1+lenny4 • md5 function: On (True) • GD version: 2 • PHP Safe Mode: Off (False) • PHP register_globals (register_globals): Off (False)

Server API (server_api): apache2filter
Server Database (server_db_type): MySQL (mysql)
Server Database Version (server_db_version): 5.0.32
Server Software (server_software): Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) mod_python/3.2.10 Python/2.4.4 PHP/5.2.6-1+lenny4 with Suhosin-Patch mod_ssl/2.2.9 OpenSSL/0.9.8g
Server Operating System (server_os): Linux 2.6.18-6-xen-amd64 On x86_64

The other editors may not work in the latest ver. of cmsms, you may want to check tiny admin for the self link and set it to <a href= mode...

Dr.CSS wrote: The other editors may not work in the latest ver. of cmsms, you may want to check tiny admin for the self link and set it to and {cms_selflink} -styles before, and now again, but neither works.

I also tried to apply internal link to image under different cmsms installation (1.6.7) on same server, but it didn't work there either.

Add an image in content, with float left etc. that you can do with the image picker, hit submit, then click image again and hit the palm tree with link/chain on it to get a list of pages to choose from to make the image an internal page link...
