How do I add a menu item?

I just installed cmsms.  I have searched and didn't find it in the documentation.  I may not understand the purpose or design of cmsms but I created a page and I want to add it to the menu.  I can't figure it out.  Thank you for any help.

Automatic. Your page is already in the menu. And the reason it is not automatic in some other CMSes is idiotic.

Are you using {menu} in your template, or do you have a hard-coded menu?

In the options tab when editing/creating content, there is "Show in menu" option.. This should be on by default.
