Send email on FEU group change

Hi everyone,

Bit of a newbie to CMSMS - so far I am REALLY impressed by what the software can do and i'm looking forward to implementing it on a lot more sites.

I have a client at the moment that I am setting up FEU for (with Self Registration added) and the plan is to put users into a "Pending" group initially (which doesn't get access to anything) and then the client can manually move approved users to an "Active" group which has access to locked pages on the site.

What I am looking to do is setup an automated email event that is sent when the admin (my client) changes the group that a user belongs to (notifying the user that they can now get access to the site).

I know I need to do this using Event Manager and setting up a UDT, but I just can't get my head around it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

exactly the same question for me :  I saw this topic Frontend user Notification Email switch, and know what to use, but not how. Any tips anyone ? thanx.

there are notifications parameters in the FEU preferences, but they seem only for the admin of the site, unless I'm wrong, the field is: "email address" and not email addresses for notification. What do you think ?

do you think a play with OnUpdateUser and a UDT could do the trick ?
