[SOLVED FOR NOW] CMSMS Core Developers can you answer a question for me?

Post by sugna »

If you have a moment.

I'm having trouble with blank pages after navigating to pages using Safari 4.0.4 and Chrome.

I notice that http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/ does not have this issue. What do I need to do to fix this issue? I'm aware of this being Webkit related I just don't understand why http://www.cmsmadesimple.org/ doesn't have the error.

I'm running the latest version of CMSMS.

All of my sites have this problem here is one.

http://tribemarkstudio.com

Is this a server issue?

I have tried everything in the forums to fix the issue.

Thanks for the help,

Shane

Hello Sugna,

Have you read this topic already?
http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php?topic=38573.0

PHP version 5.2.10 and 5.2.11 might solve your problem...

Regards,

Rolf  :)

Answer
switched to a static style sheet

Thanks Jermey [JeremyBASS]

Thanks Rolf your answer may be the true fix however I don't have access to upgrade PHP since I'm on a shared hosting service.
The above fix also speeds the site up.

I bet, an am 100% sure  upgrading will not solve this... I tried 5.2.10 and 5.2.11 and encountered the same.. the fix needs to be in the header that is formed. Cheers -jeremy

A side note.. kodos for markring solved, but it's best to do that to the first post so we can see it form the outside...

How do you switch to the "static mode"?
Thanks!

There is no switch in the CMS. We are referring to using an external stylesheet as you would when designing a site without the CMS. Example

/css/yourstylesheet.css

with your styles in the external css file.

This issue isn't an issue with the CMS but a PHP version issue and or a Webkit browser issue

I'm running the CMS on a windows server and it is working fine in Safari and Chrome.

I'm also running a site on a GoDaddy service and it is working fine.

Si some work as expected and some don't.

So the external CSS file is a quick fix but not the solution.
