I've been toying with the idea of writing a guestbook module. I'm using CMSMS to host a wedding website (I'm getting married in May). I've started it a few times, only to have Ted change the MAPI again. I'm told the API will be pretty stable within a the next week and he doesn't see it changing again any time soon, so I figured I'd give it a go.
Does anyone else have an interest in or need for this type of module? Any feature requests as I get started here?

Any interest in a guestbook module?

Yes, the API isn't going to change again... unless there is a severe limitation I'm overlooking. All of the functions are there, so you could actually start working on it from the wishy branch now. It's going to be a few more days before I move that code into the trunk, though. I want to make sure all of the ported modules are "stable" (read: not blowing up with stupid stuff) and that I haven't missed any functions.
I'll probably use the guestbook on my own site, whenever I decided to get it working. Like I have time for personal projects other than this.

interest
Hello Xorn725 and congrats for next May from me too.
You have my interest. I am working with phpwcms right now for my band, and it has a guestbookfunction, but it seemsnot to be possible to use one guestbook in several pages
So I hope that if there comes a guestbookmodule, that I can the same guestbook on severalpages, and with the possibility to ban an ip-adress.
You can take a look here (It's in Dutch!!!). There's a guestbook in the 'light-version' and no guestbook in the 'heavy-version'
