Rolf,
naar aanleiding van jouw artikel (http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 912.0.html) omtrent seo-optimalisatie heb ik geprobeerd om Pretty URL's toe te passen. Maar dit wil niet lukken. Ik heb alle stappen uitgevoerd, maar helaas lukt het me niet om er een pretty URL van te maken. Wat doe ik fout? Ik heb de config.php aangepast en een .htaccess bestand geplaatst.

Zou je een kopie van jouw config.php en .htaccess bestand hier in een post willen zetten? Dan kunnen we even mee kijken.
Let op! Verwijder wel even de database gegevens uit de config.php!!

Urr, vandaar...De website staat op een Windows-server.

Een Windows server doet niets met de .htaccess file, daarom werkt het niet.
Wat je zou kunnen proberen is de .htaccess verwijderen en in config.php 'mod_rewrite' wijzigen in 'internal'.
Kijken hoe 'pretty' het dan wordt?

Welke url krijg je nu dan?
Op een Windows server krijg je niet zo'n pretty url als op een Linux server...
Het zal iets zijn als:
domein.nl/index.php/pagina/pagina i.p.v. domein.nl/index.php?page=pagina
Voor het oog is het iets minder, maar voor zoekmachines is het wel beter.

Beide mag het geen baat hebben.
Mijn prettige URL blijft maar op /index.php?page=links staan
mogelijkheden die ik heb geprobeerd:
htaccessbestand aangepast etc
apache.conf geplaatst
config aangemaast met mod_rewrite en internal etc
Ik snap het niet meer
Wel bedankt voor jullie hulp!!!

nogmaals.... welke versie van CMSMS draai je? Want je config.php ziet er niet uit als de laatste versie. Daarnaast zul je de .htaccess moeten verwijderen uit de root, want een windows-omgeving kan daar niet mee omgaan.

Dat was hem! Geweldig! Zo'n klein dingetje...
Nu is de URL: /index.php/downloads.html
Wel jammer dat er nog index.php tussen staat.

Na een upgrade, de .htaccess er weer in en de config.php aanpassen.

IDD, op linux kun je de .htaccess wel inzetten. B.v. in de /docs foider staat een htaccess.txt, die je als .htaccess in de root kunt zetten. Vervolgens i.p.v. "internal" "mod_rewrite" zetten in de config.php en ook de index.php = verdwenen

Ik was zo blij met je berichtje, dat ook dat index.php weg zou zijn. Dus ik gelijk aanpassen, maar hij blijft gewoon gezellig staan helaas... Ik heb het 'none' verwijderd naar 'mod_rewrite. Heb je nog meer opties?
