Hello,
I have been using CMS Made Simple for two years now and I think it's the best! My clients also enjoy how easy it is to keep their websites updated.
On to my question; I have never been able to figure out how to make a parent menu item non-clickable. Is this possible? To be clear, I need the parent menu item which happens to be named "about" next to the "home" menu item to be static (non-clickable), and only the children (sub) menu items to show up on hover.
Any help with this will be GREATLY appreciated!
Eric
Using CMSMS 1.6.6 - ShadowMenu Tab + 2 columns.
Parent Menu Item - Help Needed
Re: Parent Menu Item - Help Needed
Hi ericlday,
Welcome here ;)
You can change the parent from Content to Internal Link
Set the internal link to the first child.
Or you can try to set it to Section Header, only I don't know if this is properly styled in the stylesheet.
Regards, Rolf
ps. I tested it, the Section Header is your best choice

Hi Rolf,
Thanks for the warm welcome!
And a big thank you for providing the solution! It seems so simple now... It never occurred to me to change the content type to section header!
Best,
Eric
