Functionality to set "publish date" for pages

I would like to hear your bid to create an extension to CMS Made Simple that introduces the concept of "Publish date" to normal pages. The functionality should be fairly simple: if a page is Inactive, it should be changed to Active when we reach the date specified. It is important that any events that need to trigger other extensions happen. Specifically, SiteMap Made Simple should also add the new active page to the sitemap.
