[solved] Fatal error after entering Admin page

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[solved] Fatal error after entering Admin page

Post by jchelpdeskwv »

CMSMS version 1.6.5
- Apache 2.2.11
- MySQL 5.1.36
- PHP 5.2.0

I am able to log into the Administration Panel.  I can see Admin Console and the menu links.  However, click to view any particular page and I get "Fatal Error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in c:\wamp\www\website\include.php on line 34"

I tried every single link and all take a while before I get the error on the screen.

Thank you for your assistance.

Note 1:  While the Admin Console does not work or show at all, the website that I have on it does.
Note 2: have not attempted anything because I can't even reach the global settings page.
Note 3: Have downgraded PHP to 5.2.0.   Maybe this confused some.   I have PHP 5.2.0 because CMSMS would not work with 5.3.0
Note 4: Looked at this post: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/topic,28545.msg137380.html#msg137380.  That is my problem.

ajprog,
I had the site setup, functioning, and the website almost done.  Then this issue came up.  Admin console initial page comes up.  What do you mean "review system requirements" if I already had the site up and working before this error came ip?

I don't know what is going on, you say your system is one thing and then you say you have changed it to something else. Sorry I can't help you because you have changed so much, I can't pinpoint what you did wrong.

Not sure what part you don't understand.  Had a working admin console, now only have a console page with drop down menus and empty pages.   Thank you for your assistance regardless.  Have a good day.

For everyone else, here is the simplified version:

LOGGED IN > CAME TO ADMIN CONSOLE PAGE WITH ONLY DROP DOWN MENU AND EMPTY PAGE > CLICKED ON ANY LINK, GOT ERROR

Following extrapolations:
- My website is working well.
- This is an issue only with the admin console.
- Cant access any admin pages.

Thank you.

Have you installed a module recently?

Can you switch to xampp?

Last two modules installed were Glossary and Events Manager.

I have an extra machine and will try XAMPP.  Any particular reason why you think that it will perform better than wamp?

Try manually deleting modules that you installed.

xampp because if you search on this forum other people had issues and were recommended the same thing. and I personally have experience with xampp.

Deleting those modules just brought out the
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in C:\wamp\www\cmsmadesimple\include.php on line 34

Guess this is my project during the break.  How get the information from the back up(yes it does the same thing) to give me back the site.

It worked!  Moving to xampp solved the issue with the admin console access.  I can now login, see and work with the admin console.

Thank you very much for your assistance!
