You may want to look at this thread I posted.

http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 361.0.html

If your using one of the latest XAMPP OR WAMP installs on your local machine then you'll have a newer version of PHP then CMS supports.

I'm a complete newbie on this so maybe someone else will come along and confirm or correct my answer.

A host I use for a number of other CMS Made Simple installs has just upgraded from 5.2.x to 5.3.0 - will you be looking at supporting 5.3.x in the near future?

Thanks jmcgin51 but I did search and found it returned results that weren't relevant to my question.  I also checked the CMS MS roadmap, but that also didn't mention anything regarding PHP 5.3.0.

If you can share your search criteria with me that would be appreciated.

sorry Joff - I assumed that the forum search would return good results.  As it doesn't, I would recommend searching the forum with Google instead:

Do a Google search for
php 5.3 site:forum.cmsmadesimple.org

When I did this search, the second result provides the answer.  The direct link is forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php?topic=35764.0
