install error on win svr 2003

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

install error on win svr 2003

Post by dmz »

Hi,

I'm having an issue with installing cmsms 1.6.4 on windows server 2003 (for a company).

I have the following error message after selecting the install language:

Session not working, you have problem with some modules and functionality! Ask your provider, exiting!

i have tried the following:

http://localhost/install/index.php?allowsafemode=1
http://localhost/install/index.php?debug=1

but nothing more.

Apache 2.2.13, php 5.2.10 MySQL 5.0 are installed.
IIS Stopped, Database created, empty config.php created, all files and folders set to CHMOD 777.

tried the same install on a windows xp sp2 and got thru ok.

Thanks for any help

This isn't a CMSMS issue it's a problem with your php configuration.

Please fix the session figuration in PHP and re-run the installation.

Session, PHP, ask your PHP provider.

I'm curious : how/why does this company make the PHP on Windows (rather than unix) hosting decision ?
