Help - 404 Not found error ! [Solved]

Hi I was in the middle of updaing my site when the 404 error started appearing whenever I tried to preview the site..

I can still log on to the admin section OK. I have tried clearing the cache, but this has not helped..

I think the problem is down to a page that I tried to delete - the page still appears in the list of pages, but does not have a delete icon next to it.

I'm hoping that if I can manually delete the page in the database, then all this will go away!

Any help or pointers as to how to start debugging this would be very gratefully received.

I think I must have set it to be the default page, which seemed to mess tgings us quite badly!
