[solved] Update to current version?

My site is running with the MLE version 1.54 and since a few weeks I face the problem that new content will not be shown, but no error message occurs. With the Admin-panels preview I can see the new pages, but not access them as a visitor.

Now I was looking to update the CMS and was hoping for a fast and easy solution. I installed MLE 1.63 from the scratch locally and imported the database. Now every time I try to access a page I get the error that the page can not be found.
I suspect that the database is different. Is there any hint how to modify a backup for import?

In 1.6 there was a schema- change...THis means that you have to run the install\upgrade.php script

I went thruogh all the intermediate steps, as the upgrade with the latest version did not work on the local server.

Allthough my database had benn encoded with utf-8, the upgrade procedure changed some of the coding (see my other thread regarding update problems.
