Content Block definitions?

I'm a little new with computer language and HTML and stuff, but I'm learning...

I'm trying to add a content block under my navigation bar in the sidebar, I've done so, but I can't find out how to define boundries for it so it stays inside the sidebar area, it just continues onto my main content area. And how do I edit/ attach the stylesheet for it (different font color etc) This one is probably a laugher for you guys, but I found that the best way to learn is to ask the people that knows the answer and then learn from them. This is probably an easy one.

Please elaborate to make your question more CMSms specific and point to the documentation item that aren't clear.

Post your HTML or a link. My guess is you've not enclosed the sidebar in a div or, if it is, that div is not controlled correctly by your CSS.
