Error when trying to edit templates

Post by badhoy »

I recently started to encounter an error that shows when trying to edit my templates.  This started happening on 0.11.2 and is still happening on 0.12b2.  It's a mod_secuity error but I have no clue how to fix it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Config:
PHP = 4.4.0, Apache 2.0 handler
Mysql = 4.0.25
Apache = 2.0.54
mod_perl/1.99_09
Perl/v5.8.0
mod_ssl/2.0.54
OpenSSL/0.9.7d DAV/2
mod_gzip/2.0.26.1a

Here's the Apache log:
[client 70.56.xxx.xxx] mod_security: Access denied with code 500. Pattern match "/(\\\\x3D|=)[^\\\\n]*(\\\\x3C|)" at POST_PAYLOAD [hostname "www.kmnews.com"] [uri "/admin/edittemplate.php"] [unique_id "Zaq4DkBHlkIAADhVaQwAAAAD"]

The solution to this problem was to get my hosting company to to comment out the rule in mod_security that was causing my problem.  Beware if you have you sites hosted...

I'm all for tight security on the web server, but they installed mod_security in apache without telling anyone.
