Googlepr Tag Problem

Post by badhoy »

A few days back I started to get the following error on pages that used googlpr.  To my knowledge nothing has changed in my server configuration.
Warning: file(): URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration in /home/name/public_html/plugins/function.googlepr.php on line 105

Warning: file(http://www.google.com/search?client=nav ... domain.org): failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found in /home/name/public_html/plugins/function.googlepr.php on line 105

Warning: implode(): Bad arguments. in /home/name/public_html/plugins/function.googlepr.php on line 106
I'm probably missing something obvious but I can't seem to figure it out.  This happens on 3 different sites and using both 0.11.2 and 0.12b2. Any ideas?

So the error is caused directly bu Google?  The error message indicates that it is a CMSMS issue.

From Google:
No Automated Querying

You may not send automated queries of any sort to Google's system without express permission in advance from Google. Note that "sending automated queries" includes, among other things:

    * using any software which sends queries to Google to determine how a website or webpage "ranks" on Google for various queries;
    * "meta-searching" Google; and
    * performing "offline" searches on Google.

Please do not write to Google to request permission to "meta-search" Google for a research project, as such requests will not be granted.
