Problem with Archive Manager module

For website admin activities, I have not had to use Archive Manager module on a regular basis.  Upon recent inspection, however, I realized that the Archive Manager has not been logging any revisions to content pages since April 2008 (over one year ago now).  It is, however, recording changes I have made to "HTML Blobs" which are typically Global Content Blocks.

Does anyone know why this may be happening?  Is there an option for parameters that needs to be adjusted?

I am running Archive Manager 0.2 on CMS Made Simple 1.2.4. 

Also, I understand that there were some bugs with Archive Manager 0.2.  I am interested in upgrading, but I am afraid that the latest version (0.2.1) will be incompatible with my version of CMS.  Is there still a way to upgrade the module without upgrading all of CMS?
