Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Change URL

Post by Merlijn »

Hi there,

For development of a website i used temporary a sub domain (sub.domain.com) for the cmsms installation. Now the website is finished I want to move it to the main domain (domain.com) but really don't know how to do that in a safe way.
I searched the documentation and forum, but didn't find anything about it, I think also because i didn't knew what to look for.

Can somebody maybe help me out with this?

Thanks a lot.

Merlijn,

this is dependant of where the temp-site is located.... If it is stored in the same folder as the original site should stay, then most ISPs have the ability to change the folder-name of the domain....

F.e. I have test.domain.nl and can easily change that to test2.domain.nl using FTP.

In the config.php the links to test.domain.nl should be replaced with test2.domain.nl
