Hello everyone,
I have an unpleasant Image manager situation. I have a folder with ~4500 photos in it which were uploaded on the server from a previous version of the website --EDIT (previous version of website was not built with CMSMS by the way)-- and whenever I try to bring up the Image Manager in the admin I wait for so long that eventually the script times out and shows nothing. I figured all this waiting time is probably due to the parallel creation of thumbs from the Image manager so I went in and commented out the thumbnail generation. Still though the same thing.
I realize I could break up the images into more folders, and that would probably solve the whole situation but since that would need extensive restructuring of current database data, I 'm keeping it as the very last option.
I am wandering if it has to do with Safe mode which is turned on by the hoster. I 'm trying to get that resolved but does it matter in the specific problem?
I 'm thinking that maybe I could try and incorporate some sort of paging in the Image Manager so that only 20 images come up per page or sth along those lines.
Any helpful input?
(CMSMS 1.5.2, PHP 5.2.9, safe mode)
Thanks in advance,
Aris

Safe mode sites are not supported as you most likely know, it may be a time issue which you should have seen what it is when installing...
Did you get any warnings during install, have you checked your system info page for yellow ! or red X, can you increase your time in the PHP?...
