Site worked very well. Then one day I typed the url and got:

Do you have any custom PHP or UDT in your Template or page?
According to the error message there is missing or wrong placed ";" or ","

I would also check with the host to see if they made any changes. The site won't just suddenly break. You may also need to recheck the permissions on the proper files too.
If all else fails, use a bigger hammer.

What cms made simple version is this?
Have you looked in public_html/index.php on line 54 to see that is there? (sometimes its not telling much of the problem, but its a start....)
