files are uploaded to the folders, most likely under the \uploads folder.

Besides links to those files, arent they stored in the DB.

that maybe are stored in DB the links (url address) but not the binary file ...

that is what I meant.... You caught me, as being not-native English speaking.

I meant, that content, stylsheets, templates etc... is in the DB.

The CMSMS files, and additional files/images take up storage on your system, but NOT inside the DB.
