problem in banner between IE6 AND FIREFOX

problem in banner between IE6 AND FIREFOX

hi all!!!!

i got a problem with IE6.
my banner in firefox is displayed correctly....but in ie6 appear a white space beetwen header h1 and breadcrumbs.

the website is

my project is to create a banner divided between herader and breadcrumbs
but
how can i delete the code "background: #fff" in header? OR in other words how can hde it in IE6?
