Product Manager for MLE or add custom fields to content pages...

Post by antosha »

Hello everyone : )

I'm creating a multilingual (CMSMS MLE) travel website which contains pages with tours descriptions (images, price, photos...).
First, I was using the normal page manager with content blocks to create those tour pages, but soon realized that the lack of image upload fields (tour photos + page thumbnail) doesn't make it very convenient...

Then I found that the News and Product Manager modules give the ability to use custom fields (file upload, check box...), which is probably what I'm looking for. The problem is, from what I read, these modules don't support MLE (different content per language).

So I don't really know what to do... Maybe make the product / news module  work in multilingual mode or adding custom fields to the normal pages editor  ???

Please help  ::)

Thanks

News works with MLE if you separates in categories
Cataloger works with MLE

I have also seen Products work with MLE as well. You create "custom fields" for each language (description, name, etc) ex.  en-description, fr-description, de-description. I believe they used some smarty checks to see which language is selected to display the proper fields.

Also, since original topic does not look like a request for commercial (paid) help I will be moving it to the MLE forum. If it is indeed a request for paid help, I will move it back.
If all else fails, use a bigger hammer.
