Hi everyone
I've just done a new install on a new server, for a domain which currently has the DNS pointing to an old site on a different server. I'll get the DNS changed once CMS is up and running ok.
I can preview the site at:
https://myserver:8443/sitepreview/http/ ... ical.co.uk
First of all:
I get two // in the URL before the page file:
https://myserver:8443/sitepreview/http/ ... ?page=Home
And secondly when I login to the admin from:
https://myserver:8443/sitepreview/http/ ... /login.php
It takes me to:
http://site-electrical.co.uk//admin/index.php
Which obviously can't be found.
I've tried altering some of the info in the config.php file but haven't had any success.
Can anyone help please?
TIA
Suffrinmick
Root URL problems
Re: Root URL problems
Why do you have the http bit in the url? This may be causing some trouble.
But please post your config.php if you want us to look at it. just xxxxx-out the bits like passwords etc.

Re: Root URL problems
You probably have a / at the end of the url line in config.php. Make sure it's removed. And after you do that. clear the cache via the Global Settings page.
Re: Root URL problems
Thanks guys - I'm a bit nearer: There was a problem with the "site preview" feature on my new server.
I'm still having problems though - I'll post a new message.
Thanks
