Fatal error when clicking save on config.php file

Post by spartanic »

I tried enabling Pretty URLS through the config.php file but when I click on save I get the following error:

[a fatal error or timeout occurred while processing this directive]

I noticed that even if I open up the file to edit and then click on save I still get the same error even though I made no changes. Any ideas?

It should be secured on your server as non writeable, for security purposes.  You will need to login on your server management program eg cpanel, and remove the security that is preventing it being written. Then make your change. Then set the security back again.  Read the post in this forum on "A small guide to CMSMS system security." I think you will find that, among other things, in there. Andrew
