Cataloger image won't upload

The problem is that the images wont load to the server from the whole CMSMS, they wont go in from the Cataloger module nor the File / Image managers. I know the problem is in the ownership of the files, and i cant chance them into Apace server, and my provider refuses to change them for me because of some security issues. This is no problem if there is another way i can assing image to an Item.

What i need now is some kind walkaround to assign the images to sertain Cataloger item manually. I cant seem to find the way how the Item knows it has a image assinged to it. I think it should be somewhere in the database, but i just cant find it.
