Full vs Base
Full vs Base
I cant see me needing to use the full install on sites anymore as they will all be in English. But how do I change a full install into a base install? Is it simply the language files which are not included?
Re: Full vs Base
Correct,
BASE is only CORE with English, FULL is including ALL translations by default. So when you only need English, or just a single other language, you can take BASE + the specific lang-pack..
When you upgrade however, from earlier releases, and use only BASE for upgrade, you wont overwrite the lang-files that were changed in the meantime.
So for older releases it could be wise to use the full, as that overwrites all old files, for later versions you can use the base + lang-packs if required.

Re: Full vs Base
So what files/folders would I have to delete to turn it into the base package? All my installs are minimum 1.4.1 and I just want to update them all to 1.5.2 base when it is released.
Re: Full vs Base
download the base file, open and look in all folders and see what the diff. is to other one and delete the lang. files not needed?...
