Header and Logo

Post by hughnormus »

Hi,  I just have had CMS installed and I am beginning to put my website together.  I am wondering how to universally change the "CMS Made Simple" logo and either add my own logo in and/or header text.

In trying to troubleshoot and find information on where/how to change, this is what I've come across.
- If I look in the GLOBAL CONTENT BLOCKS I see a 'footer', but no header.
- I have created a .gif log and uploaded it, when I change the name in the path on H1 and apply it --> the CMS logo goes away, but my logo does not replace it.
- LAYOUT --> TEMPLATE I found information in regards to 'sitename' is this it?  The code referenced is "{sitename} - {title} {* The sitename is changed in Site Admin/Global settings. {title} is the name of each page *}".  But when I look in the global setting I only see sections for Metadata, what text appears when your site is down, etc.

I am at a loss.  Can anybody lend advice?

Thank you!

The logo is called in the stylesheet named similar to your layout, like 'layout.....' then search for the header, it will call an image, which you can replace by the name of your own, starting with 'uploads/....'
