Including other applications

Post by jeffrydell »

I have a project which would benefit from a quick CMS like this, but I also need to be able to provide a menu link to another username / password protected application which is already complete.  I can put that 'other' project in a sub directory so there are no script conflicts, but I need to know if CMSms is very easy to "insert" a menu item which would link to that other application.

Example Menu (Login takes the user to the "other application" in a sub-directory):

Home (CMSms page)

About (CMSms page)

Products (CMSms page)

Contact Us (CMSms page)

Log In (Other application link)

So how about it, would this be easy to do in this CMS?  Thanks in advance for your help.  I'll continue working through the documentation, but I need to get this project started VERY quickly - so any quick answers would be really helpful!

When adding new content there is a Content Type of External Link that will link to it...

Excellent - thanks!

So is this part of the menu management, or is it more like a "wrapper" page in other CMS's, or is this something that gets inserted in to the 'content' of a page?  Where in the documentation will I find info on this?
