Am I going mad or have I missed something very basic?
Using CMS 1.5.1 & FEU 1.5.3
The Help file says, "When you create a group, you are asked for a group name, a description and to associate properties with that group, specify the properties sort order, and wether it is an optional, required, or hidden field".
I click on Groups but the only option I have is Import Group. This asks for a group name and the Input XML file. Tried creating an XML file in the format provided in the Admin section with just the default username and email but get a "Could not parse the provided XML file 1" error.
So what's the secret? How do I create a group?
Thanks in anticipation,
Benz1

Re: FrontEndUsers: Create User Groups
Simple fix for this one: Set up some User properties first. After that you should be able to create user groups and chose from the properties you set up earlier on
Don't worry. I was fighting the same problem after installing the FEU module.
If you want your users to give their email adress you would have to set up a property named email. After that the "create group" option should be available.
Hope this answered your question.

There it is, though it's not that clear, I guess. It says that you will be asked for group name, describtion and to associate properties... those must be given first. Help file isn't too clear on that one, I guess. The Help file says, "When you create a group, you are asked for a group name, a description and to associate properties with that group, specify the properties sort order, and wether it is an optional, required, or hidden field".

Re: FrontEndUsers: Create User Groups
Thanks Amancham, you're right this works. The help file says, "Note: You do not need to define properties for username and password, these will be provided for you". As these were the only fields I wanted I didn't think I had to set up any more properties.
I hope the rest of the setup is explained more clearly!
