TinyMCE annoyances

I'm using TinyMCE 2.4.9 with CMSMS 1.5.  It seems that TinyMCE has a vexing tendency to change my HTML, occasionally dropping tags amongst other things.

I keep seeing this on my installation, but here is the latest way I have found to reproduce the problem:

Install the Form Builder module, add a tag to render the sample Contact Us form on a page.  See that the form appears correctly in the website.  Now go to the Form Builder page to edit the Contact Us page.  Click the CSS Static Text field to edit.  Imagine you've made a change, then click Update.  If you're using TinyMCE, congratulations - your tags will have vanished.

I've uninstalled TinyMCE for now, and it's a much better experience.  Or am I getting something wrong?
