ImageGallery - No thumbnails-got thumbs-more thumbs problems

Using cmsms 1.4.1 I use file manager to upload some images to the images sub folder, I create a page called Image Gallery and insert the imageGallery tag.

I get the list of images, and links, the links work fine, but the index page only has list no thumbs, so I go to the forum read everything I can find. And from there... I go in to Image Manager and click on my folder of images, and sure enough the thumbs are created, so I go back to the public page and reload, but no thumbs, so back to imagemanager and reload my thumbs are gone, and they won't came back?  So I hit the upload in the image manager and upload a new image, and if makes a thumb, and all the others still just list, no thumb, back to the public, refresh and the new image no problem thumb is there.

OK so I realize I can make this work by going back and reloading all the images again though the image manager.

My question is, must I do this (this will be slow, one image at a time)?  Is there a way to get the thumbs with what have in the sub folder (done with File Manager) now?

ok we got thumbs, the one that writes for the tag help section should add that you must use the ImageManager to create the thumbs.

But I got a new problem.  Using the sample css from the bottom of the ImageGallery help page, I pasted it to the bottom of the css I use for the page template.  But the thumbs captions overlaps the thumb image, and I have big holes in the layout of the thumbs,

And should I move this to the css board?

Thanks for the post, that answered the question of why I wasn't getting thumbs after posting the images via FTP. I see that your question is still open, however, so I'll ask it again.

I want to use the Image Gallery but how to force it to generate thumbnail images if I load the images via FTP instead of in the admin? It's quicker to load 15 or so images via FTP than one upload at a time, right? Any ideas on this?
