CMS Made Simple 1.5 is coming soon to a site near you!
After 3 months development it is time to release the CMS 1.5 in the next few weeks.
The deadline for translations is november the 18th 2008.
What we're aiming at is packaging together a well rounded, well tested release of CMS with a lot of features and some fixes.
So if you can set aside a little time to get the translation of your language up-to-date - please do ASAP.
Translationcenter you find here: http://translations.cmsmadesimple.org
Best regards
Translation Team

It's quite curious that the French and German languages are the most downloaded language packs, and yet are not that frequently updated.
There is basically one or two people who maintain each of the French and German languages, and they are always behild with respect to the core package, and the modules probably because these people don't have all the time in the world to donate to translations.
I think that these people would appreciate help with keeping up with the translations.

What's up with the translationcenter? I get an empty page, apart from the header and a box saying "Choose language".
I am logged in but there's just no content...

I just checked it again, both in FireFox and Internet Explorer - nothing!
I pretty new in this community. I created a profile and use my name and password to log in. That should be enough, shouldn't it? Or is there something I miss?

Hi there,
Since I only use the English version - I never have the languages on my list... but I am willing to step in. I just thought... why not... I am quick at translating stuff and wanted to have a look on how it works with the translation center. But I experience the exact same problem as Frank. I checked it with FF3 and IE7 on WinXP.
I have attached a screen shot of what I see... very strange
Well, I wouldn't be able to make any translations prior to the weekend anyway, but it would be a pity if people couldn't access it.
The following is the HTML of that empty page

ah, okay, now I get it.
The translation center is not as advanced as we would like it to be.
In order to see anything more in the trranslation center you have to apply for, and be approved for access for the appropriate translation project.
Here are the links to the french and german projects.

Last call for translators!
1.5 is probably released within a couple of days or so! About november 27th US time...
CORRECTION! The time to finish translation is pushed forward to about 2nd december 2008 US time - its so we can do some more testing before release.
Hurry up!

You may need to apply to join again, this may have been lost when we migrated to the new forge.

Hi there,
I don't get it... with the old forge it was clear how to request membership in a project... but I can't find any link or button on any of the pages saying "apply" or something like that.
I would expect it somewhere under the list of developers of a project... probably it is pretty obvious and I just don't see it.
I looked at all project pages logged in and logged out... (and tried different projects) cache cleared and such... but no success. I can post screens if wanted.
Did anybody recently join an existing project with no hassle? Can you give me a hint?
I fel stupid

The new forge doesn't have that feature (yet). I've filed an FR for it.
In the mean time, please send an email or a PM to a dev team member, and they can add you.
Please supply your forge username.
