Where is all the links to this site?

I can't help my self for bringing this issue up, but as I don't see many of you who uses CMSMS are making any contributions to the ppl who puts so much work for this lovely piece of software. Is it really to much to just make a tiny little link to cmsmadesimple.org at the bottom of your site

I am curious, I have heard it is a security risk to broadcast what kind of CMS you are using... is this true, does anybody know?

If bots can identify what CMS is used on a site, they can attack known security holes. This has been a problem for many CMS, including some older versions of CMSMS. But one of the great things about CMSMS is the speed by which such security holes have been covered up with releases of new versions. The current version (1.41) is good.

That said, a link on the bottom of your site isn't what bots are looking for, they look for specific codes in the source. So a link broadcasting what kind of CMS you are using won't really make a difference from a security perspective.

As a comment on anivision's post: I think a better contribution is sending a donation to the dev-team for each commercial site produced with CMSMS. And then contribute by supporting the community in various ways. Translate, test, document, post in the forum, etc.

I'd think a good way to support is to use it as much as you can.. talking and be active.. and hoping that in the end a check can be cut for the support of this all.. I know I keep trying hard to land that one big money bag client that makes it possible to give back money wise... till then a starving artist like the rest I am... lol and if we can get bigger clients using this the easier it'll be to give support...  I'm still working on a pledging system... the hope is to dive money for development... and I try to post as many trick as I can here and lend a hand when I can… funny thou I never seem to get karma must be doing it wrong lol… anyways…

I think the best way to support CMSMS besides leaving the link at the bottom is to donate or help out with other stuff like translate , making modules and help other users here in forum.
