[solved] MAchine translation of CMS Site

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[solved] MAchine translation of CMS Site

Post by streever »

THANK YOU RONNYK: Google worked perfectly.
--------------
Hi all,

this isn't the best place to ask this I'm sure. I've exhausted all other options.

I'm doing some pro bono work. The client is insistent on machine translation and refuses to hire a translator.

It's very frustrating.

My ideal solution at this point, before I go crazy, is a 3rd party solution that basically just grabs a snapshot of the site (text etc) and re-writes it in the language of choice.

No, this won't work well, no, it won't be pretty. But, I am posting here for any input or ideas.

has anyone worked with machine translation? Does anyone have a good way to integrate it with CMSMS? (including MLE)

Thank you greatly in advance

David

David,

there is the google-gadget for translation..

I use that on a demo-site http://ronnyk.dyndns.org/WIP/BaltusTransport/ where they only wanted to insert a single language, but still wanted some ML-showing....
