Google Gears

I normally develop CMSMS websites on XAMPP and then publish them to the webserver.

However, clients have requested the ability to edit offline on their local machine.  I have also wasted a lot of time waiting for slow servers when I have to make maintenance to a client's website.

It would be really really cool if CMSMS could use Google Gears to maintain a local copy of the CMSMS database on the client machine.  This would help developers, clients, and web designers.

What do you guys think?  Can a Google Gears module be developed for CMSMS?
