Sumarize + [read more] link for Page content

Is it possible to create a summary of an article with a [read more] link which will send you to the detail page?

I know that it can be done with News module, but is not what I'm looking for....

I'm not sure what is wrong with using the news module for this? But to do it simply, how about..
1. Just create a page with the summary information and link to another page with the details?
2. Create a summary and use the expand tags to show the detail?

Because you're obliged to manage 2 forms instead of one...
