News: summary on one page, details on another

Hi guys,

i've searched the forum but didn't found what i was looking for. I'd like to show the news summaries on the main page of my cms site, and when you click read more, to open them in a new (news) page.

I tried the detailTemplate parameter and so, but didn't get it to work. Every time i click read more, it shows me the same page again with the summary.

Any ideas on how to do this?

Currently there is no way to do this.  It's on the feature request list for 1.0, and I'll get it in there as soon as I come up with a good way to handle it.

The way I read that is that he wants a different template (as in layout->templates) to show for the detailed page than the one that the summary page was on.  At this point, the detailed page always takes the id of the returnid, which in this case is the summary page.
