Hi folks,
I'm going a little nuts on this one. I've tried the options in the help documentation, but I can' t get the effect I'm looking for. I've searched around but I can't find the solution that I'm sure exists.
Say I have a hierarchy like this...
1 People
1.1. Bill
1.2 Bob
1.3 Bert
2 Places
2.1 New York
2.2 Boston
2.3 Madrid
3 Things
3.1 Crayons
3.2 Pots
3.2.1 Stainless Steel
3.2.2 Copper
3.3 Cameras
How can I use Ellnav (or bulletmenu) to do the following:
1. If I'm on page 'Crayons'...show just the relative siblings. i.e., the following:
- Crayons
- Pots
- Cameras
2. If I'm on page 'Things'...just show the immediate children. i.e., the following:
- Crayons
- Pots
- Cameras
3. Regardless of my current location...show a menu that contains the immediate children of 'Things'. i.e., the following:
- Crayons
- Pots
- Cameras
thanks for your help,

Menu with just siblings or just children

Re: Menu with just siblings or just children
In case anyone wants to know...this is quite easy to do with Ellnav **IF** your structure only uses two levels. It seems to break down past level two for some reason.

Re: Menu with just siblings or just children
Yep. ElleNav ain't the solution either.
Now don't quote me on this but I believe wishy was working on allowing multiple {bulletmenu} tags in a single page?
The ability to display a full side menu and then siblings or children in a separate menu within the page {content} would truly be a winderful thing. Truly.
It's possible that piratos' pi_menu can handle this but it's too geek for me to work out.

Re: Menu with just siblings or just children
It would be great to be able to display two different bulletmenus on the same pages! Something like {bulletmenu start='1' end='4'} or something like that perhaps, to select that those four top levels in the menu should be displayed. Then in another part of the page: {bulletmenu start='5' end='8'} for example. Should be rather easy to implement I suppose.
Just some random thoughts, I've went into Christmas mode now and won't be around here that much during the coming week.

Re: Menu with just siblings or just children
I'm so in Christmas mode right now that that whole conversation just caused a glazed look on my face. It seems like a good idea, but I shouldn't probably think about it until sometime next week.
