v 1.4.1 and automatic page alias turns ä -> ae

Wonder what has happened here.

If you write 'ä' on title in automatic page alias it is converted to 'ae' when it used to become 'a'
'ö' becomes 'oe' when it used to become 'o'

Is it my Windows XAMPP (that I have not used for a long time) or something that has changed in the latest versions? If it is the CMS how you could change it back.
