EllNav menu problem using FF

Post by 1dMN »

Hi guys!
Just yesterday I saw my cmsms site (0.10.4) has a "little" problem if I use Firefox (1.0.x and also 1.5):
the vertical menu items of EllNav are placing one on another! No problems with IE... very strange  ;)
I use {cms_module module='EllNav' showtoplevel=0 bulletmode=1}.

Thank you for your help!
Best regards

Hi there,

What is the URL to your site? It's easier to find where the error may be by looking at the source code of the page.

:)

Hi westis. Here is the website. I'm developing it yet; but it will replace the existing one with the new year.
Thanks again!

Hi 1dMN,

Sorry for not responding earlier. I'd suggest you use bulletmenu if you only want the menu in one place on the page. EllNav is meant for split menu, for example a horizontal top level and the sublevel for each page to the left. I suppose it can then cause problems when using both the top level and its sublevels in the same place.

Hi westis, and happy new year.
I followed your suggestion, then and I replaced {cms module module='EllNav' showtoplevel=0 bulletmode=1} with {bulletmenu collapse=1}. There's no changes by viewing the site with Firefox (here the url); it seems the collapse doesn't work properly only with FF because submenu items are placing one on another again!
What can I do now? How can I fix this bug?
Thank you.

Hi 1dMN,

The problem is the CSS for the menu, not the menus themselves. Try debugging the navigation CSS step by step and see what's causing it. :D
