is it possible to........

Post by buntrosgali »

Ok

i have a website shown here : My Site

now what i want is two things:

to have different headers asigned to certain pages, ie, the "football leagues" page would then look like this:

New Header

Is that possible?

Ok 2nd thing i would like to insert an extra nav bar on the left side of this "football league" page, something like this:

Extra Nav

but i just want it on this one page nother pages. Can this be done?

If you want page dependant code in your template this is what you can do:

Code: Select all

{if $page_alias == 'football-leagues'}
	<img src="football-header.jpg" />
{else}
	<img src="general-header.jpg" />
{/if}
You could try the same with the submenu on your page.
Add children pages to the football-leagues page for showing in the submenu, and make them invisible in the main menu (by unchecking "Show in Menu"). Then add something like this in the template where you want the submenu to appear:

Code: Select all

{if $page_alias == 'football-leagues'}
	{menu start_page="football-leagues" show_all="1"}
{/if}
I haven't tried this so play a bit with the MenuManager module parameters (found in help) to get the result you want.

Hope it helps, good luck.

The way I've done it is to assign the class to the header with the page alias, then use the class to add a diff. image...

#header.pagealias { background:blablabla....
