I just read the changelog for 1.4-beta and thought to myself: The new template-handling would allow subtemplates for global-content-blocks immediately, if it was only possible to assign templates to these blocks. That would be terrific since it would allow sub-templates and make coding more flexible. Thus you could build even more complex websites.
But hey: 1.4-beta is awesome - so this was just my 2 cents.
