Server Transfer [solved]

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Server Transfer [solved]

Post by theyapps »

Ok I have an installation up and running. I want to transfer it to another server. Is there any known issues I may encounter?

Forum search doesn't work well. Use Google(or equivalent) instead to search the forum.

So you should assume users new to the site didn't put any effort forth at search. If I hadn't allready had so many hours behind CMSMadeSimple I might have been turned away by the assumptions. Don't get me wrong I do appreciate the help I just take slight offence to the assumption that I would be the type of user that would just ask and not try to find the info on my own.

Don't worry, don't feel offended : on the other side, the support team (and other contributors) could be offended that you haven't pointed to a precise documentation page (or forum threads) in your first post. Nobody is perfect.

I hope I've made kermit's "search with google" post sticky if it wasn't already.

Everyone can found easily the handbook on CMSms main site, menu "Support > Documentation".

Support team is working hard to help most questions, but if new users are not ready to read the available documentation :'( ...

Did you read any of them? "Result" is not synonymous with "valid result". None of the ones I saw awnsered my question.

Note for the rule book:
Rule # ??) If you message subject brings up search results it is not allowed to be posted.
