Content Sync issues?

Has anyone here had any issues with Content Sync before?  I synced a content page from my CMS test server to my CMS production server.  The content synced within CMS fine - I could see that the changes had happened successfully to the content page within CMS on the production server.  However, the changes did not appear on the actual web page when accessing it with a web browser.

Is there anything under the hood that we should be doing to maintain CMS to ensure this does not happen?
Does MySQL need to be re-ordered?
Does anyone have any kind of database management recommendations?
