--Add Me - module:FileManager string:unknown--Help? Anyone?

Post by aspires »

I have posted for this problem several times. Each time largely ignored by everyone.

Here is the error I see in File Manager:
Under File Info File Owner:

--Add Me - module:FileManager string:unknown--

Then Where rename would be:

--Add Me - module:FileManager string:rename--

Then wher you change File permissions (last icon):

--Add Me - module:FileManager string:CHMOD--

None of the pretty little images show up. Just "x" and these weird strings when you hover over the right most icons and this string in the middle.

I cannot launch this site in this condition.

File Manager is all messed up. It happened after I uploaded Captcha via ftp. I don['t know if that has anything to do with it.

CMS 1.2.5
PHP 5
MySQL 5

Please offer some advice. I contacted my host (netfirms.com) and they have no idea.

Thank you. A moderator would be nice on this issue. I am not the only one who has had it but I cannot find a solution for it.

I would try removing captcha to see if it fixes the problem.

If it doesn't, perhaps you could provide some useful info to assist in troubleshooting:

Installed mods/versions
Server OS (linux, windows, etc.)
Steps you've taken to resolve the issue
FTP program you used

The message says there's no current language file.

Are you sure, the file for your language is uploaded AND not corrupt?

Some ftp programs destroy files on uploading.

I had this problem. Have to do with the files, not the database, so I have a quick and dirty solution:

Backup all files. Backup the database.

Do a fresh install of the same version, install the additional modules you were using.

Then overwrite this new database with your old one. When I mean overwrite, you must delete all tables and then import the old database.

Worked for me, and I didn´t have to blow my mind up trying to find the ftp bug.

After that, with some luck, everything you come back to normal. Would be nice to upgrade your 1.2.5 to the latest version. Check the documentation.

PM me with any remaining questions.
