Installing CMSMS with Multiuser-Multienvironment Support,...

Post by keremg »

Hi,

is it possible to Install a single pyhsical CMSMS and "serve" it to different
users/environments on a server, so that the complete system can be
maintained from a central place, e.g. Updates, Module installations,
modifications? The Users only get and work with their own databases,
without touching the physical "single installation",...

Is this possible with CMSMS,...? ???

No, CMS doesn't support 'multi-site' environments.
Follow me on twitter
Please post system information from "Extensions >> System Information" (there is a bbcode option) on all posts asking for assistance.

If you can't bother explaining your problem well, you shouldn't expect much in the way of assistance.

Hi,

ok thank you. Do you know a CMS that does, because here is
a situation that needs something like this. The complete System
has been build on a tech like that, to make administration easy,...

Hello,

I don't know other CMSs.
If you search these boards deep (with google) with such keywords : multi site, multi domain, subdomain, virtual dmain/host...
you will find that the topic is not "easy" (although simple) and that views diverge :
-subdomains or multi domains or both ?
-DNS integration ?
-webserver integration, virualhosting scope : by domain ? subdomain ? subfolders ?
-admin roles...
-unseen issues so far...
So know what you want and how do you want it.
Your feedback is welcome
