3 Columns and autoresponder problems/ 2 news sections

Hi

I have looked on the forums but I cant see a specific solution so if anyone can help thanks.

I need three columns, I know there is a 3 column skeleton, however I cannot get the news to work on it.  I want to add a column to the standard template installation so I can have an email autoresponder on the left, move the menu to the right and have text in the middle. .  Where can I add the extra colum?  Or how to I get the news to work on the three column template.  And how do i get the autoresonder to work on the news.

I also wanted 2 new columns, I can make two but they both have the same info in them, how do i get different inews nfo in each one?
