install connection fails???

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Hi all,
filled in dbhostaddress, dbname, dbusername, dbpassword. Try to connect and "connectionfailed". What gives? Do I have to edit config.php or am I missing something stupid?3
